1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of IMANQibla (the "App"). Your use of the App constitutes your acceptance of these terms in full.
2. Use of the App
- IMANQibla is provided for personal, non-commercial, religious and educational use only.
- You must not use the App in any way that is unlawful, harmful, or disruptive.
- You must not attempt to reverse-engineer, modify, or distribute the App or its source code without explicit written permission.
3. Religious Content
IMANQibla provides Quran text (with Tajweed color-coding and scholarly Tafsir), Hadith, Duas, Adhkar, the Essentials Learning Hub (5 Pillars, How to Pray guide, daily Dhikr), prayer times, Qibla direction, and Islamic calendar as a convenience tool to assist Muslims in their practice. The content is sourced from recognised Islamic datasets and APIs. However, IMANQibla is not a qualified religious authority and does not issue religious rulings (fatwas). The Essentials Learning Hub is introductory educational content only and does not replace formal Islamic instruction. For religious guidance, please consult a qualified scholar.
4. Prayer Times & Qibla Accuracy
Prayer times displayed are calculated estimates based on astronomical formulas and your device location. They may differ slightly from locally announced times at your masjid. Qibla direction is an approximation based on GPS coordinates. Always verify with local religious authorities when precision is required.
5. Quran Audio & Recitations
IMANQibla streams Quran recitation audio from two sources: cdn.islamic.network (verse-by-verse ayah audio) and mp3quran.net (surah-mode streams for selected reciters such as Saad Al-Ghamdi). Audio files may be locally cached on your device via IndexedDB solely to improve playback continuity and offline reuse. Cached audio is not transmitted to any server and is removed when you clear app data or uninstall the app. Audio availability depends on the external services remaining operational.
6. Language & Display Settings
IMANQibla includes 12 language options (English, Arabic, Urdu, French, Turkish, Indonesian, Malay, Somali, Bengali, German, Spanish, Hausa), 12 app themes, and a 24-hour time format toggle. Your selections are stored locally on your device. Interface translations are provided for usability only; Islamic religious content (Quran, Hadith, Duas) is always shown in its original Arabic form alongside the selected scholarly translation (40+ translations available across 30+ languages).
7. In-App Purchases
IMANQibla offers optional "Support IMAN" tip jar purchases. These are voluntary, one-time, consumable payments processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. No physical goods or additional features are unlocked; tips are a way to support continued development of the app.
- All purchases are processed by Apple and subject to Apple's Standard EULA.
- Refunds are handled by Apple through their standard refund process.
- IMANQibla does not collect or store any payment information.
8. Third-Party Content
The App integrates content from third-party services (see Privacy Policy for a full list). IMANQibla is not responsible for the accuracy, availability, or suitability of any third-party content. Links to external sites are provided for convenience only.
9. No Warranty
IMANQibla is provided "as is" without any warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or meet your specific requirements.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer of IMANQibla shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first.
